Our Story

Two engineers, one garage, and a relentless drive to make precision manufacturing faster.

It started with a 12-week wait

Alex Chen and Jordan Mills met in an advanced manufacturing lab at MIT. Both mechanical engineers, both frustrated by the same thing: getting a simple prototype machined took 12 weeks and cost a fortune.

After graduating, they spent years at aerospace and robotics firms watching the same bottleneck slow down every project. Talented engineering teams stuck waiting on parts. In 2019, they decided to fix it themselves.

They pooled their savings, set up a Haas CNC mill in a garage in Austin, Texas, and started taking orders. Their pitch was simple: precision parts, faster. Within six months, they had outgrown the garage. Within two years, they had shipped over a million parts.

Today, ACME Co operates two facilities across two continents, employs over 200 people, and serves customers in robotics, aerospace, and electric vehicles. The mission hasn't changed: precision at scale, without the wait.
